Madrid Museums

Art and painting have always been a major point in Spanish culture.
Out of the many- three major galleries are located in Paeso del Prado forming a golden triangle. These three are: El Prado, Museo Thyssen-Bornemisza and the Reina Sofia Museo.
These are the well known but Madrid has many other Museums that cover every taste and style. Although some of them are unknown they are worth to visit

Museo del Prado has the fullest and most important collection from the 16th to the 18th centuries. This was the era when the Italian, Spanish and Flemish schools were at their height.
So the Museum displays the work of El Bosco, El Greco, Tiziano, Rubens, Boticelli and many, many others. Also it is a must do for all interested in the work of Goya and Velázquez.

This Museum offers some of the works of the 18th century from Rubens, Murillo, Goya and several works done by Pablo Picasso.
